A former chapel, a former courthouse, a downtown hotel with a 100% art deco style... In Nantes, you can host your event and book a room in a totally unique hotel! There is no shortage of unusual venues for your events, and they will leave a lasting impression on your guests.
Sozo Hotel: host your event or spend the night in a chapel
Featuring exposed stones in each room and minimalist decoration to showcase the beauty of the space without venturing into the austere, this charming boutique hotel located just steps from the Jardin des Plantes will surprise your guests. Built in 1887, the chapel belonged to a congregation of nuns. Deconsecrated and then renovated into a 4-star hotel, it was recently bought by a hotel group in Rennes, "Beautiful Life Hotels". With 24 rooms, including a 55 m2 suite, two meeting rooms (photo above) that can accommodate 15 and 10 people respectively, a lobby-bar in the former nave with a 17 m high ceiling, a wellness area that can be reserved for private events and premium services, your event is sure to be memorable in this intimate and restful setting. In a little nod to the hotel’s former status, on the Sozo hotel's website, a little angel tracks the movements of your mouse. The devil is in the details, as the saying goes.

Hôtel Mercure Passage Pommeraye: "family home" atmosphere and art deco style
After more than a year of renovation work, in July 2019
the Mercure Nantes Centre Passage Pommeraye Hotel unveiled a new interior in
a pure Art Deco style
(photo below), a subtle blend of on-trend flair and classic chic.
Gold-tone wall lights, smoked and bevelled mirrors, velvet, wallpaper,
deep shades and geometric patterns deliver comfort and character,
creating a warm atmosphere that calls to mind a family home. The hotel
doesn’t have a "restaurant", instead it’s called a "dining room". The
large marble table under the glass roof and the collection of crystal
decanters accentuate this table d'hôte spirit. In the two small
adjoining lounges you can spend a relaxing evening, just like at home.
There’s no reception desk any more, instead the staff come out to
welcome you ‘home’, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
The 61 rooms in this hotel located in central Nantes will make your
guests feel a bit nostalgic for bygone days. On each landing, a
cat-shaped light illuminates the hall, a subtle reminder of the sleepy
old tomcat that lived in every farmhouse. It’s enough to make you purr
with pleasure.

Radisson Blu Hotel: a night in a hotel steeped in history
It’s
hard not to be impressed by the majestic
Radisson Blu Hotel in Nantes.
This 4-star hotel, converted from an iconic former courthouse that
delivered justice in Nantes for more than a century and a half, is
unique in France. A subtle combination of old and new, the elegant decor
of each space is truly impressive. Upon entering the former waiting
room that serves as a lobby and restaurant, your guests can’t help but
look up and admire the huge glass roof. “Wow” effect guaranteed! The
original black and white chequered floor creates a contemporary yet
elegant style. The dramatic colonnade and high ceiling enhance the
solemn character of the space. You can host your event in L'Assise, the
historic former Criminal Court, the Coursive, or one of the 9 seminar
rooms (approximately 1000 m2 of space available for events). Your
participants will love spending the night in this atypical place.
The
142 rooms are tastefully decorated by architect Jean-Philippe Nuel, in
keeping with the building's natural elegance.
