Seven companies from Nantes exhibited at the BIO2015 International Convention from 15 to 18 June 2015 in Philadelphia, USA.  

Some 15,000 experts from sixty countries attended the world's largest biotechnology gathering this year to present their research and attract new partners and investors. 

On the forefront of biotechnology, the Nantes biotech ecosystem was well represented with seven companies, all leaders in their field.

 

High growth biotech firms

  • Unique in France, Affilogic, the Nantes-based biotechnology start-up, generates a new class of 3rd generation antibodies, used as an alternative in the treatment of various diseases, such as Crohn's disease or psoriasis.. 
  • Valneva designs, develops and markets vaccines, through its Nantes-based R&D site Vaccines, antibodies and cell lines, which benefits from the rich network of health and biotherapy research in Nantes.
  • The Nantes-based company Keosys is an expert in medical imaging and telecommunications. Heavily involved in innovation and research, Keosys participates in projects in neurology, cardiology and oncology.
 
Laboratories of excellence in biotechnology in Nantes 
Nantes Saint-Nazaire is a very fertile territory for the development of innovative SMEs in biotechnology: immunobiotherapies, radiopharmaceuticals, regenerative medicine, bioanalysis, nuclear medicine, etc.
