In September 2017, the International School of Nantes (ISN) will offer bilingual, personalised education.
ISN is a 100% bilingual French and English kindergarten and primary school. It serves children of all nationalities, starting at age 3 months at the daycare centre, age 2 in kindergarten, through the end of primary school. In all, 150 students will attend the school located at 15 rue Olympe de Gouges in Saint-Herblain.
The classes are bilingual (50% in French and 50% in English), taught by
qualified, native speakers. In French, the school follows the French national
education program, and in English, the official British program. The classes
will include instruction in different subjects such as philosophy. Class sizes
will be kept small in order to promote individualised teaching methods.
ISN features a makerspace, a yoga, dance and judo room, a motor skills room, an
art room and a 2-hectare forest. The school’s mission is to help the children
develop the knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills that the global
citizens of the future will need.
The school is in session 4 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and
provides activities for children at a "Happy Club” on Wednesdays as well
as every other week during the school holidays. And in order to facilitate
things for parents, ISN offers a school bus service, whose route will be
determined based on needs of the families.
The school office is staffed every Wednesday from 2.00 to 6.00 pm, and
appointments can be scheduled with the director, Nathalie Paulin. The staff can
be reached by email at Contact@isnantes.fr.
